Welcome to Wookein! We are glad you chose us. Enjoy our services, but please read these terms and conditions carefully and follow them. These Terms of Use describe the terms and conditions applicable to your access and use of our mobile applications owned, operated, and served by Wookein Inc. This document is a legally binding agreement between you as the user(s) of our mobile applications (referred to as “you”, “your” or “User” hereinafter) and the Wookein contracting entity (referred to as “we”, “our” or “Wookein” hereinafter).

Acceptance of Terms

This document and such other regulations and policies of the mobile app collectively are what we officially call our Terms of Use (the “Terms” for short). The Terms are a legally binding contract between you and Wookein, Inc. By accessing and using our mobile applications and services, you agree to accept and be bound by the Terms. Kindly do not use our mobile applications or access our services if you do not accept or agree to all of the Terms and Conditions contained in this document as well as the Privacy Policy and any other regulations and policies of the Wookein App published and updated from time to time. Wookein may amend any Terms at any time by posting the relevant updates and restated Terms on our platforms. By continuing to use the App, you agree that the amended and restated Terms will apply to you.

Your Account (Independent Users Account)

In order to access and use our services, you'll need to create a Wookein account or sign up from the mobile app. Your individual account is what we officially call “Independent Users Account ''. Please do not access or use any of the Apps and or accept the Terms if you are not of legal age to form a binding contract with Wookein Inc. You are solely responsible for any activity on your account. Provide accurate information about yourself and the content you create. It is important to keep your account password secure. We respect privacy. By using the App, you are also agreeing that we can process your information in the ways set out in the Privacy Policy which govern the protection and use of personal information about Users. We advise you to read it. As a condition of your use of the mobile App, you agree that you will comply with all applicable laws and regulations when accessing our services. Wookein may allow Users access to content of third parties' websites. You are cautioned to read such websites' terms and conditions and/or privacy policies before using the Sites. You acknowledge that Wookein has no control over such third parties' websites, does not monitor such websites, and shall not be responsible or liable to anyone for such websites, or any content, products or services made available on or through such websites. You agree not to undertake any action to undermine the integrity of our mobile App and Services and /or any other User nor to gain unauthorized access to their accounts.

Business and Premium Accounts

If you're creating a business channel, you personally guarantee that you have the authority to agree to the Terms on behalf of the business entity. Content that you post in your business channel using the App is “your content” which includes anything you add using the App (like business names, profile pictures, post photos, videos, post descriptions, comments, videos, usernames, etc.). You understand that you are solely responsible for Your Content. You represent that you have all necessary rights to Your Content and that you're not infringing or violating any third party's rights by posting it. By posting a Content through our App, you grant Wookein a permission to use, display, edit, modify, reproduce, distribute, store, and prepare derivative works of Your Content to help us function. We have great respect for intellectual property rights, and is committed to following appropriate legal procedures to remove infringing content from the App. You agree that you will not post any content that is abusive, threatening, defamatory, obscene, vulgar, or otherwise offensive to the laws of Ghana. You also agree not to post any content that is false and misleading or uses the App in a manner that is fraudulent or deceptive. Upon becoming a Business Account holder, you consent to and authorize Wookein to share the contact information of the business entity with other Users.

By registering as a business entity, you agree to :
  • carry on their business activities on the app in compliance with any applicable laws and business regulations in Ghana;
  • conduct business transactions with other users of the app in good faith;
  • not use the App to defraud any person or entity
  • not impersonate or misrepresent yourself with any person or entity;
  • be solely responsible for observing applicable laws and regulations in its respective business jurisdictions
  • Breaches

    Wookein reserves the right to remove, modify or reject any User Content that you submit to or post on the App which we reasonably found inappropriate in Wookein sole discretion. Wookein may, at any time impose limitations on, suspend or terminate the accounts of individuals or businesses without being liable to the holder if reliably informed that the Account is in breach of any agreement. Wookein reserves the right to cooperate fully with the Government of Ghana and or regulatory authorities, law enforcement bodies, private investigators in the investigation of any suspected criminal or civil wrongdoing in connection with your use of the Services

    Intellectual Property Rights

    Wookein is the sole owner or lawful licensee of all the rights and interests in the Apps and its Content. The Apps and its Content, icons, trade secrets and other intellectual property rights protected under worldwide copyright and other laws. All title, iconography ownership and intellectual property rights are hereby reserved.

    Your Use of Our Services
    We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, and revocable license to use our mobile Apps—subject to the Terms and the following restrictions in particular:
  • You agree that you will not violate any laws in connection with your use of the Services.
  • You agree not to interfere with or try to disrupt our Services, for example by distributing a virus or other harmful computer code.
  • We love your suggestions and ideas! They can help us improve your experience and our Services. Any unsolicited ideas or other materials you submit to us (not including Your Content) are considered non-confidential and non-proprietary to you. You grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, irrevocable, sub-licensable, perpetual license to use and publish those ideas and materials for any purpose, without compensation to you.
  • Termination of Account

    We'd hate to see you go, but you may terminate your account with Wookein at any time from your account settings. Terminating your account will not affect the availability of some of Your Content that you posted through the Services prior to termination. We may terminate or suspend your account (and any related accounts) and your access to the Services at any time, for any reason, and without advance notice. If we do so, it's important to understand that you don't have a contractual or legal right to continue to use our Services. Wookein may refuse service to anyone, at any time, for any reason. If you or Wookein terminate your account, you may lose any information associated with your account, including Your Content. We May Discontinue the Services. Wookein reserves the right to change, suspend, or discontinue any of the Services at any time, for any reason. We will not be liable to you for the effect that any changes to the Services may have on you.The Terms will remain in effect even after your access to the Service is terminated, or your use of the Service ends.

    Warranties and Limitation of Liability

    You understand that Wookein does not create any of the items displayed through our Apps. Any legal claim related to an item you may purchase must be brought directly against the seller of the item

    People You Interact With.

    You may use the Services to interact with other individuals, either through Third-Party Services. or in person. However, you understand that we do not screen users of our App, and you release us from all liability relating to your interactions with other users. Please be careful and exercise caution and good judgment in all interactions with others, especially if you are meeting someone in person. The App may contain links to third-party websites or services that we don't own or control. The third parties may require you to accept their own terms of use. Wookein is not a party to those agreements; they are solely between you and the third party.


    We hope this never happens, but if Wookein gets sued because of something that you did, you agree to defend and indemnify us. That means you'll defend Wookein (including any of our employees) and hold us harmless from any legal claim or demand (including reasonable attorney's fees) that arises from your actions, your use (or misuse) of our Services, your breach of the Terms, or your account's infringement of someone else's rights. We reserve the right to handle our legal defense however we see fit, even if you are indemnifying us, in which case you agree to cooperate with us so we can execute our strategy.

    Disputes with Other Users

    If you find yourself in a dispute with another user of Wookein's Services or a third party, we encourage you to contact the other party and try to resolve the dispute amicably. Wookein will attempt to help you resolve disputes in good faith and based solely on our interpretation of our policies, in our sole discretion; we will not make judgments regarding legal issues or claims. Wookein has no obligation to resolve any disputes. Release of Wookein. You release Wookein from any claims, demands, and damages arising out of disputes with other users.

    Changes to the Terms

    We may update these Terms from time to time. If we believe that the changes are material, we'll definitely let you know by posting the changes through the links in the Apps and/or sending you an email about the changes. That way you can decide whether you want to continue using the Services. Changes will be effective upon the posting of the changes unless otherwise specified. You are responsible for reviewing and becoming familiar with any changes. Your use of the Services following the changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
